A café inspired by the morgue puts its clients in coffins.
A café in the Thai capital, Bangkok, was inspired by the morgue of the dead to attract customers.
The café-makers place customers inside coffins after drinking coffee, according to the “UPS” website.
The owner of the café was inspired by the morgue and has coffins dedicated to the customers to spend time indoors after the drinks are finished.
The café owner explained that the purpose of the café was to allow time for customers to think about their lives.
He noted that his idea is “inspired by Buddhist philosophy and aims to encourage people not to be greedy.”
“His main goal is for the visitor to test the death experience when the coffin lid closes, as this helps in the emergence of their basic instincts, they will realize that they were ultimately unable to take anything with them from the pleasures of life,” he said.
