Audi prepares for Geneva exhibition with four hybrid cars
Audi unveiled the Q5, A6, A7 and A8 hybrid engines before the Geneva Expo next month.
The A8 L 60 TFSI e Quattro has come with a hybrid of 443 hp and with a torque of 699 Newton-M based on a 3.0-liter V6 engine and a 14.1 kw power drive that can operate the vehicle for 50 km on electric power only and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The other cars came the Q5 50 TFSI E, A6 TFSI 50 E and A7 50 TFSI E with a hybrid engine of 295 hp and torque of 450 nm-meter, and all cars carry the same electric motor that can run the car for 50 km on electric power only.
Three modes are offered for the Q5, A6, A7 and A8 hybrid engines: EV, Auto, and Hold. In EV mode, the vehicle operates on electric power only, but in Auto mode the system intelligently uses the electric motor and the other engine to maximize efficiency, either in Hold mode the engine works in a way that keeps the battery charging status, and the battery can be charged using braking force and can be shipped at home.
