“Equal Earth” A new map of the planet from NASA
Historians all the time have tried to map the planet to reflect the real extension of the land without distorting its features.
Recently, the American information engineer Bojan Savirik presented a new, more accurate map of the planet that takes into account modern standards for the representation of land and water bodies.
On the new map, NASA scientists called “Equal Earth”, where meridians appear more accurately, so that they can be used to determine the precise dimensions of each region.
The new map is different from the latest maps issued last year in Boston, which paid attention to the dimensions of each country while neglecting the accuracy of continents.
The new map, “Equal Earth,” was lauded by NASA scientists who decided to use it to detect temperature levels in July.
