If you watch TV 4 hours a day… You’re a candidate for disease and premature death



An American study reveals that watching television for 4 hours or more per day increases the chances of death.

The study, published by researchers at the University of Central Florida, confirmed that sitting to watch television affects the health of the heart, according to the New York Post.

The study was carried out through the follow-up of 129 persons for 8 years, in addition to 205 deaths.

The researchers found that those who sit for long hours in their office, exercise and eat healthy, were healthier than those sitting in front of the television for long hours, leading them to less physical activity, eating unhealthy food, and drinking large amounts of alcohol and cigarettes.

The study concluded that 33% of participants watch TV for less than two hours a day, 36% watch it for four hours a day, and 31% watch it for more than 4 hours a day.

According to the study, those who watch television for more than 4 hours a day are the most vulnerable to premature death and cardiovascular disease.
