Porsche 918 Spyder Alternative will arrive in 2025 as an electric car

Porsche is developing an alternative to its super car 918 Spyder, and the new car will be fully electric but will not arrive before 2025.

According to the head of Porsche Oliver Blume, the company believes that the current battery technology is not suitable for a high-performance vehicle, and they have not yet decided whether to produce a 918 Spyder hybrid car or be a fully electric car.

Porsche is not working alone on the development of batteries, with a partnership in this area with Stanford University, and the Volkswagen owner group for Porsche wants to develop recyclable batteries to minimize negative impacts on the environment.
