school teacher wearing the same clothes for 100 days in row
A female teacher in the United States deliberately wore the same uniform for 100 days in order to prove a specific purpose.
Julia Moni, a school teacher in New Jersey, said she wore the same uniform over that long period to teach her students the concept of sustainability.
She explained in an interview with the BBC, that wearing different clothes every day is “very wasteful” and that the fashion industry is “heavily contaminated”.
Mony is keen to wear a “apron” while working in class to protect her dress from stains. She says she is constantly washing the dress and has back-up copies.
She hopes the Sustainability Project will serve as an example for students and plans to further document her progress and share her lessons on environmental practices through an Integral account.
