The disappearance of INTERPOL’s head of state, Meng Hongwei, and the French police are opening an investigation
Security authorities opened an investigation in France after the disappearance of Chinese President Meng Hongwei, head of Interpol, based in Lyon, central France, Sky News reported.
The Hong Kong family lost track at the end of September, according to a source close to the file.
The source added that the wife of Meng Hongwei informed the French authorities of the disappearance of her husband expressed concern, confirming the information reported by Radio “Europe 1”.
He said his wife had contacted the police after he had not been in contact with her since he left for China last weekend.
Meng Hongwei, 64, lives with his family in Lyon.
