Toyota will develop the lunar vehicle of the Japan Space Agency

Toyota has signed an agreement with the Japan JAXA Space Exploration Agency to develop the latest lunar vehicles for the agency.

In the teaser video unveiled by the company carrying the vehicle is a design inspired by the cruiser FJ, and for illustration the vehicle will be 7 meters long and 5.2 meters width and a height of 3.8 meters. It will accommodate 2 people with special equipment for their space trip, and can carry 4 people when there is an emergency.

Toyota hints that its lunar vehicle may operate in a fuel cell system because of its high efficiency and energy intensity, and says that it is happy to be part of the Japanese team going to space in 2029 and that it will be ready to challenge and go into space.
