Telltale Games Studios announce their shutdown
Telltale Games won a wide cultural acclaim for its rich games, for example The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, but that was not enough to keep the lights on and on. After the company was reported to have been fired the most of its workers, Closing its doors and canceling most of its current projects.
According to Gamasutra, Telltale canceled all current projects except one, the Walking Dead Season 4, where a small team of about 25 out of about 250 employees is still finishing the game and everyone else has opened the door. This project will stop the Telltale games from being present.
Regarding the reason for the closure, Pete Hawley, CEO of Pete Hawley, said: “The gaming industry has changed tremendously over the past few years, and as mobile gaming grows, it is possible that the style of Telltale games has not been profitable enough.”
The company yesterday posted a tweet on its official Twitter page, stating that it intends to close the studios without an appointment on its own, and confirms that a small group of 25 employees are currently working to meet the company’s remaining commitments.
